Who Am I?

I am Rena Aliston, writer of dark poetry, micro-fiction, flash fiction, short stories, and crime, thriller and horror novellas.

I am of mixed ancestry - Yesa (Saponi) and German, and an enrolled member of the Saponi-Catawba Nation of the Ohio Valley. Some of my poems and stories tend to lean on the spiritual side (pagan/heathen, indigenous spirituality). Some are about the darker aspects of life in general. Hopefully, I’ll continue to keep a healthy mix of both.

I’m also a small business owner and dog mom.
