A Needed Break
I took a needed break from life. It started with my computer issues, but I’ve had a new computer for about a month now and still wasn’t ready to get back into the world of writing. Instead, I decided to work on my garden.
Seven years, that’s how long I gardened before I got burnt out. After taking a year and a half off, I decided to get back to it and am glad I did. Having tossed all of my gardening supplies, I had to restock everything, but I only bought what I needed (not what I wanted and would never use).
So far, I’ve harvested some arugula. I’ll be getting some lettuce today. The cabbage is growing nicely, and the strawberries are starting to flower. I still have to put the peppers and tomatoes in the ground and plan on doing that Sunday.
What About Writing?
I was hoping to write a few poems last month but didn’t. Interestingly enough, I watched a true crime show the other day and during an interrogation, one of the homicide detectives pointed out something that piqued my interest. I did a little research and came up with an idea for a new story. We’ll see what happens.
I’ll have updates on what I’m writing, what I need to finish writing, and any forthcoming releases within the next couple of weeks.
