Last week, I talked about my printer woes and how I had to buy a new one. It’s supposed to be here today. I had my office fixed up and ready to go and then a couple of things happened.
Over the weekend, we got hit with a major storm. I’m not even sure how much rain we got here in Kentucky, but let’s just say it was too much. My office is in the basement. The basement didn’t like the amount of rain we got.
Even though nothing got destroyed, I had to move a lot of furniture so I could clean up the mess that did happen. Now, I have to put everything back before the printer gets here so I can get that set up.
On top of the rain, guess who got food poisoning? Yeah, I had to deal with that while trying to stay on top of the water coming in. It was just a rough weekend. I’m hoping the rest of this week continues to move along smoothly, but it’s supposed to rain again tonight and then again in a couple of days. I don’t know how bad it’s going to be, but the Ohio and Kentucky rivers are being watched right now, seeing that their levels are at a record high.

Crime/Thriller Series
Everything’s moving along nicely with the series. I’m currently half-way through the copy edits for book one and am hoping to be finished by the end of next week. With this second proof, I was able to get the book cover looking the way I like it. My sister said it’s better than the first cover as well, so I’m happy everything turned out well.
Due to the storms, I had to stop writing book three. I’m hoping to get back to it next week and still pushing to get the first draft finished this month.
On Repeat
This week, I’m sharing Drums by Martha Redbone.
That’s all ya’ll. Everyone try to stay dry and enjoy the rest of your week.
