Slowly Progressing
Taking a lot of breaks
With the temperature change, I find myself spending most of the day outside. That’s a good thing, seeing that I’m sucking up the Vitamin D, but it also means I’m not writing. I managed to get through a couple more chapters of another book but ended up taking a break yesterday and am taking today off as well, but I was productive this morning.
I’ve also been making a lot of art prints this past week for my shop, so that’s been keeping me busy as well. I’m loving the new printer.
The Hourglass Collection
The Green Hour will be released this month (the 19th). It’s the second book in The Hourglass Collection and is currently available for pre-order.
I’m 58% done with writing the poems for the next book in the collection. There will be at least one day this month (according to my calendar) where I’ll be hopefully adding a nice chunk of poems to the book. I’m pushing to release the third book by the end of the year.
Crime/Thriller Series
Last week, I ended the first draft of book three with 7,343 words. I’ve added 2,205 words since Monday, so now I’m resting at 9,548 words. I should be further along than that. I was hoping to finish the first draft by the end of last month, but that didn’t happen. The good thing is, I have the next seven days free for writing, so I plan on taking advantage.
I did finish the copy edits for the first book in the series and will be starting the final round of edits (the proofread) this month. I’ll also be starting the line edits for book two. So, this whole month will be devoted to editing.
In June, I’ll be working on the second draft of book three so I can get that sent to my beta reader in July. I’ll be writing the first draft of book four in July.
Conjure Series
Conjure Volume 2 will be released next month, June 16th. I set everything up for pre-order this morning, so I’m just waiting for the approvals to come in. Once the book is live, I’ll add more information.
There will be one more book in the series, which I’m thinking will be released at the beginning of the year. After the final book is released, I’ll compile all three volumes into one paperback.
I’ll be adding poems from the the second book throughout the week and weekend.
