NaNoWriMo 2024
Day 1
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. My sister and I had our annual, three-day movie marathon. I told myself I wasn’t going to write, but that didn’t happen. I ended up writing 20 new poems. This morning I added seven more. As you see, I’m most productive when I don’t want to be.
NaNoWriMo
This year I’m hoping to write books three and four of the crime thriller novella series I’m working on. What did I write today? Absolutely nothing for the story as my morning was extremely hectic and that’s when I like to write. As I stated above, I did write poetry though.
The Hourglass Collection
I was hoping to finish the second book in the collection last month, but it didn’t happen. I started off strong but couldn’t write anymore poems after that initial first few days. There’s still plenty of time. I finished last month with the book being 33% complete. Some of the poems I wrote this morning ended up being added to the book to push it up to 44%. We’ll see what happens the rest of the month.
The third book I had scheduled to start writing in December, but I ended up writing some of the poems October 30th. A few more were written this morning. So, as of today, the book is 18% complete.
Crime/Thriller Series
As stated in the opening paragraph, my goal is to write books three and four of the series this month. I finished the second draft of book two last month and plan on sending it off to my beta reader soon. I’ll be working on the third draft of book one in December.
