House Cleaning
The Nefarious Ones has been revamped. I’ve made changes to just about every section of the site. Here’s a brief summary of the updates:
Added a banner to the website.
Added a “Members” section to the main menu for easier access to your account.
Added menu to the books pages.
Revamped each book landing page and added a “Table of Contents” section.
Changed chapter pages from blogs to individual pages with navigation to the previous and next chapters.
Did a complete overhaul of the membership levels page.
For free subscribers, the “Free” account name has been changed to “The Uncommitted” and I added information about what’s included with that tier to the membership levels page.
Divine Madness is now available on the poetry books page for subscribers. The first chapter has been added. I’ll be adding the second chapter this week.
The posts page now has its own navigation. The sections are separated into the following categories:
Updates will include all the site updates as well as updates on my writing life and projects I’m working on.
Works In Progress will be where I post any new books that I’ve added to the site.
Books will include information regarding book and audiobook releases, sales, calls for ARC readers.
Bonus Content is included in the Convert, Assimilated, Deviant, Shameless and Unholy tiers. Every once in awhile, some of the content will be available for the Uncommitted and Corruptible tiers as well. Bonus content includes character sketches, maps, deleted scenes, etc.
Swag is for the Assimilated, Deviant, Shameless and Unholy tiers and will include art prints.
The Official Shop
I’m in the process of making major changes to the Official Shop. I have another business that I run and ended up having to contact Payhip, who I use for my store and payment processor, regarding an issue I was having with their embed button. They informed me that what I was trying to do, I couldn’t. They also told me that they’re going to get rid of the “Add To Cart” button option (you’ll still be able to use the “Buy Now” button). I prefer the add to cart. Because of this, I decided to switch over to Woocommerce.
What does this have to do with Rena Aliston’s shop? I also use Payhip on that store as well. These past few days I’ve been switching over to Woocommerce, adding all the products to the store, and getting everything set up. All of the pages are good to go. I’m just making some cosmetic changes at this point.
The good news is you can now buy t-shirts, mouse pads, and stickers directly from the store. Previously, you had to purchase through my Etsy shop.
