Crash
A poem and update
You crash into my soul -
lightning, hail -
pastel thunderstorms
hover, cocooning
what could have been.

The poem above is the first thing I’ve written since last year and that’s sad.
It’s been a while since I posted and figured it was time for an update.
This has been the most unproductive year when it comes to writing. My computer died on me and then I got hit with a fibromyalgia flare that had me in bed for nearly a month. On top of that, I’m now dealing with cervicogenic headaches and motion sickness.
I’m allergic (and extremely sensitive) to a lot of things (medications, lotions, earth), so I’ve had years of just dealing with the pain. Unfortunately, I can no longer do that. I ended up signing up for medical cannabis and got approved. Oh, what a difference.
Not only does it help with pain and sleep, but it’s the only thing I’ve found that controls my muscle jerks. For the motion sickness, I’ve been using Bonine, which is over the counter, and it’s been working well.
I’m hoping to write more poems throughout the month and coast back into writing more.
