Computer Woes
Computer Woes
Way back in February, my computer shut off in the middle of watching a video. I was able to get it back on but it shut off again after about 15 minutes. It did this for a few more days and then just stopped coming on at all.
I ended up buying a new power supply, waited a week for it to get here, put it in, and had the same issue—the lights would come on as if getting ready to turn on and then it would cycle on and off. The other day, I bought a new CMOS battery and still had the same problem.
I was going to call a local company to get an appointment for them to look at it, but something told me to try again so I unplugged the power supply, removed the CMOS battery, replugged the power supply, and put the battery back in. I’m not sure why that worked, but I’m happy and thanking my Ancestors.
I’ve been using the computer for a little over an hour. Haven’t watched any videos or played Jewel Quest yet, but as of right now, my computer is working. Fingers crossed.
Because of the computer issue, I’ve been spending most of my time planning for this year’s garden. It’s been warmer these past couple of weeks, so I’ve been able to get outside and clean some things up in the yard. I’m so ready for summer. I prefer the heat, so I’ve been loving the temperatures. It’s supposed to rain (thunderstorms) tomorrow and then I think the temperature drops for a day and then back up in the 60s.
Even though I enjoyed the time away from my computer, I do have to get back to writing.
