After a brief period of doing absolutely nothing in the world of writing, I’m back to work. There were a lot of personal things I had to take care of last month, so I’m way behind. Even though I don’t like playing catch-up, if I push through the rest of this month, I should be close to where I need to be to keep my schedule. I did change a few things around, but it wasn’t anything major.
The Hourglass Collection
I’ve made progress on book three of The Hourglass Collection. Eleven poems were added to the book Monday. I have a couple more poetry writing days scheduled for this month and am hoping to get all of the poems written on those days.
The first two books in the five book collection are available in paperback and ebook.
The third book will be released in October.
Penance
The first book in the Xander Walsh crime thriller novella series, Penance, is currently available for pre-order. The book will be released on August 18, 2025. If you’re interested in being an ARC reader, you can sign up through the official application or over on Booksprout.
I’m happy to share a new review for the crime thriller novella.
Penance is a fast paced suspenseful thriller about detectives trying to solve murders. The killer is using someone’s dark poems to create a game that taunts the detectives who are trying to figure it out. I flew through this book as it was very well written and had many twists and turns. I highly recommend this book to those who love crime and thrillers. – Kryssy Foss
Xander Walsh Series
The second book in the Xander Walsh series will be released later this year. I’m currently working through the line edit for the book and finishing the first draft of book three. This morning, I added another 1k words to the third book. My goal is to finish both the first draft and the line edit this month and start writing book four and working through the copyedit in August.
On Repeat
I’ve been getting my fill of Fantastic Negrito this week. One of the songs I can’t seem to get enough of is Living With Strangers.
Alright ya’ll. That’s it for this week. Enjoy the warm weather.
